On Monday night we had a really fun neighborhood party with all of the families on our street. It is interesting how we can live so close to our neighbors but not really know them that well. This was the perfect opportunity to get to know each other.
We started the evening with a bike parade for all of the kids. They got to decorate their bikes and then ride them down the street in the parade. Garrett's favorite part was putting a playing card in between the spokes on his bike so that it made noise every time he rode it.
We had a BBQ and then some fun games for the kids. My neighbor, Michelle, organized an Olympic themed round of games for the kids and then they each got their medal (a glow stick bracelet on a ribbon). Overall it was a lot of fun and I hope it is a tradition that we continue for years to come.

Looks so fun, and that is so cool all the kids got to decortate their bikes and ride them around. What a fun neighborhood!!!
I LOVE the bike parade. Our stake always did that growing up. They still do it the day before the 4th of July parade. All the primary kids dress up and walk or ride your decorated bike. They close off main street and everything. It is quite the event.
'Hood parties are the best, aren't they?? :) Looks like everyone had fun!
