Frightfully Fun!

Halloween this year for our family was perfect. We carved our pumpkins on Thursday night. The little kids started out helping us, but soon lost interest. So there are no pictures of them carving anything but they were there to participate on some level.

Friday all of the kids were home. Kelsey had the day off from school and Garrett is still off track so we met up with Grandma Kim for lunch and then went to visit Grandma Rae and Papa Evan. They always love to see the kids in their costumes and it was good to visit with them. We made it back home early enough to take a deep breath before all of the evening festivities began.

Kelsey was the first out the door, she is old enough that hanging out with Mom and Dad is not appealing. She trick-or-treated the neighborhood with a fun group of friends. The other three hung out with me until Daddy got home and then it was our turn to hit the streets. If I could plan a perfect Halloween this would have been it. Having it on a Friday was so nice and the weather was PERFECT! No coats over the costume..no umbrellas..no gloves. It was great. Caleb really got into trick-or-treating this year. Garrett and Lauren would take off running to the next house and Caleb would yell "Hey guys wait for Caleb." It was so cute watching him try to keep up with the big kids. All in all it was a great Halloween!
